NBCC Living Labs: Flexible, Functional Training Environments

Atlantic Business Interiors collaborated with New Brunswick Community College to support the creation of the Living Labs across Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint John. Our goal was to design purpose-built learning spaces where you can roll up your sleeves, build hands-on skills, and train in setups that mirror real-world industry settings. We focused on pure flexibility, high durability, and practical performance so you and your instructors can effortlessly shift rooms into whatever layout your daily coursework demands.

Whether you are working in practical simulation bays, diving into intensive individual technical practice, or teaming up for group projects, the space has to move and adapt with you. To make sure your learning experience never feels locked in place or restrictive, our team selected mobile, tough, and easily reconfigurable furniture solutions that can be rearranged in seconds.

Throughout the planning stages, we worked closely with NBCC program leads and faculty to deeply understand how you use these spaces every day. Those conversations shaped every choice we made, from tactile surfaces and durable finishes to functional ergonomic adjustments that support your posture during long practical training sessions while maximizing campus resources.

The resulting Living Labs give NBCC students modern, adaptable, and comfortable workstations that support experiential education and help you build real-world confidence from day one.
