From missed call to Halifax office furniture win: The Convergint story

When Convergint, a global leader in security and building solutions, decided to establish a new Halifax office, they sought more than basic desks and chairs. Their vision was to create a workspace that reflected their culture, supported collaboration, and gave employees an environment they would be proud to call their own.

Atlantic Business Interiors was invited to bring this vision to life. Our work began long before any products arrived on site, reviewing Convergint’s floorplans with their leadership and contractors to understand how people would move, meet, and work throughout the day. This intentional planning ensured that each zone  from private offices to shared workstations and meeting rooms supported its purpose.

Convergint’s design vision called for a curated selection of furniture drawn from a broad supplier network. We sourced ergonomic seating from Steelcase, versatile solutions from Global, durable worktables from Spec and Ofco, and comfortable lounges from Allseating. This balanced mix created a space that was both practical and polished.

Throughout the project, timelines shifted, product availability changed, and design details evolved, but our team stayed agile. We adjusted schedules, coordinated multiple deliveries, and maintained momentum without missing deadlines. Regular communication and weekly touchpoints kept all stakeholders aligned and decisions on track.

The result is a workspace that supports both focused work and teamwork. Employees have responded positively to how the space functions and feels, and leadership appreciated how closely the final outcome matched their original vision. Convergint’s Halifax office became a place that truly reflects the company’s culture and supports its team’s daily work.

After completion, Convergint was so pleased with the results that they referred us for another office project in Newfoundland. a strong testament to the trust built through this successful collaboration.
