AA Munro: Collaboration, acoustics, and a move to Bedford
Transforming light, space, and collaboration
AA Munro Insurance had a clear goal when relocating its office to a newly constructed building in Bedford, create a workspace that felt light, open, and acoustically comfortable for its team. When they engaged Atlantic Business Interiors, the space they inherited had excellent natural light potential but felt dark, enclosed, and uninspiring.
From the outset, AA Munro’s priorities were clear: bring natural light deeper into the workspace and improve acoustic comfort without compromising visual openness. To achieve this, ABI integrated extra-tall glass doors for private offices, allowing daylight to penetrate throughout the interior while managing sound transfer for focused work and private conversations.
Every design choice reinforced these priorities. Acoustic seals and glass elements worked together to strike the ideal balance between openness and privacy, while finish selections and layout decisions helped maintain a cohesive, visually uplifting environment. Thoughtful integration of hanging acoustic baffles and soft dividers improved sound quality and contributed to a comfortable yet energetic workspace.
Collaboration was at the heart of this project. AA Munro’s team was engaged throughout the process from finish decisions to final walkthroughs, ensuring that every choice aligned with the firm’s culture and operational needs. Even after installation, ABI stayed in touch to ensure the space continued to work as intended.
The result is an office that feels completely transformed: filled with natural light, acoustically balanced, and perfectly suited to how the AA Munro team works today. Employees responded enthusiastically to the environment, and the space stands as a testament to what thoughtful planning and partnership can achieve.
